I used a palace place from the MarketPlace to explore. When moving around, I was intrigued by the miniature world under the table of the palace. I found a car asset to create a story. I drew a rough story board. The story structure I’m looking for is a Big-Small-Big structure. I planned to tell a story of the adventure of a small car in a big world.
After reviewing the materials tab and some UE tutorials, I created glow-in-dark spheres using instances. The original asset has no light and it’s dark to look at the whole piece, so I created blueprint and bind a light in front of the car. I assigned the car as an actor and created shots with it moving.
I was thinking about how to shoot from first-person angle from the car. I explored the blueprint and added a cinema actor component to the car. In the sequencer, the view from car can be achieved because I have a cinema actor inside the blueprint.
I set the cinema actors at the 4 shots I planned and shooted the whole thing. Oh yeah, I also assigned shape actors in the sequences. I am trying to understand how to make multiple cine cuts work during the process.
